Many thanks for the correction.
Everyone should go to her blog site for some fantastic photographs.
Most of which were taken here at Deep Harbour.
Check out the bald eagle photo.
Good Morning George,
I just saw your post on the Scaup, and wanted to kindly let you know they are actually Lesser Scaup and not Greater Scaup. There are slight differences between the two, I attached one of my favorite Scaup charts that really helps with ID. The top of the head is peaked at the back for Lesser, peaked at the front for Greater. Also Lessers will sheen a purplish/greenish tint on the head, Greaters only greenish tint.
I hope I’m not offending you. I am avid birder; I’ve loved the winter ducks here on the creek, it’s been quite special. If you check out my blog, you’ll see a couple ‘rare’ ducks we’ve had as well that have come & go frequently. (Long-tailed Duck, Golden Commoneye – both don’t normally come so far inland esp. around population).
Did you see the Eagle on the Osprey platform last month?
If you have any questions about any birds, please feel free to email me. I would be more than glad to help with IDs.
Regards,
Donna W

High Spot, Stoked aka Yardbird, & Rock Lobstah CLOSE!
Source: WBOC News
CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Three downtown Cambridge restaurants have closed their doors for good just weeks apart. Some people in the area say the restaurants will be sorely missed.
On Thursday, construction workers got down to business on High Street just feet away from the now shuddered restaurant known as The High Spot. The paper posted on the front door declared it "permanently closed."
Around the corner, RAR Brewing business owner JT Merryweather says it's sad to see a fellow businessman go. Patrick Fanning owned The High Spot as well as the restaurants Stoked and Rock Lobstah.
"I would say I was shocked actually," Merryweather said.
But business owners like Merryweather and Downtown Cambridge's Executive Director Katie Clendaniel say the closures are nothing to worry about. Clendaniel says a new retail store now occupies the old Rock Lobstah. There's also growing interest to rent space in both Stoked and The High Spot.
"There are very good things coming," Clendaniel said. "It's a really great sign for downtown because it means that people are interested and will continue to invest here."
WBOC tried reaching out to Fanning about why he closed all three restaurants but were unable to get comment.
The building owners said in a statement they were disappointed to see Fanning go, calling him a "pioneer restaurateur."

Who are those small ducks visiting Deep Harbour?
For weeks, I have wondered where these little guys come from. They appear to winter here.
What are they called?
Why don't they fly to Florida? (I would if I could fly.)

Dog Poop, Dog POOP, DOG POOP!
Yesterday, I took a walk around Deep Harbour with a dog owner who wanted to point out what a mess our community has become due to the negligence of dog walkers.
There appeared to be no part of the property that was not littered with DOG POOP. Despite having dog stands readily available in place at the Master Association's expense, several dog walkers appear to continue to disrespect our property. It is their property also, their back yard, their front yard.
Don't tell me it's hard. We have eighty-year-old residents that take care of business.
Don't tell me it's a natural process. Step in it. Naturally, you won't.
It is not only gross; but, it is unhealthy for humans and dogs,
Our Deep Harbour pet policy mandates the removal of dog waste and is supported by law.
Cambridge City ordinances specifically mandate picking-up after your pet.

Pet Policy Notification 2019
To all Pet Owners at 900 Marshy Cove,
Since 2009, 900 Marshy Cove has had a standing pet policy. The policy requires that all pets be registered annually and meet standard health requirements. Pet owners are also expected to maintain control of their pets to ensure peaceful co-existence with all residents. The annual fee supplements our annual budget for cleaning and landscaping. Dog Walking Stations are also made available through contributions to the Master Association.
Fees
The initial registration for each pet is $50. A special renewal fee of $25 is offered to all that have registered in 2018.
Penalties
Those pet owners that have failed to register their pets by March 31, 2019, will be assessed $100. The assessment will be charged directly to the unit owner’s account.
Forms
http://900marshycove.blogspot.com/p/pet-policy.html Please return the completed registration forms with remittance to the Sentry office before March 31, 2019. Forms may be submitted by mail or by visiting Sentry’s office at
