What better way to circulate your favorites to your neighbors.

Delicacy?

Time to dig into a meal of muskrat!
Have you ever tried one of Dorchester County’s more unusual delicacies — muskrat? Now's the time! What we’re unofficially calling “Muskrat Weekend” at the end of February offers two events where you can try it. Try it prepared the traditional way on Saturday, Feb. 23, during the 74th National Outdoor Show. Or try it prepared other ways -- from muskrat stew to muskrat tacos — at the outdoor Crawfish Boil & Muskrat Stew Fest on Sunday, Feb. 24. The fest also features the second annual Muskrat Leg-Eating Contest! There are a few other places to try muskrat, or if you're feeling really adventurous, you can try cooking it up yourself! Muskrat has a long history in Dorchester and was once a staple on many dinner tables; the pelts were an important source of income.  Read more

From: Gerry Boyle <gerry.boyle@ironman.com>
Date: September 22, 2018 at 1:50:09 PM EDT
Subject: Volunteers

Easiest description is to say we need volunteers on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday when it is hard to find people who are not working. A couple of examples; passenger van drivers between Long Wharf and Great Marsh, controlling access to Lng Wharf(no cars) and giving directions. Same outside Great Marsh.
Very flexible hours.
Anyone interested/willing should email volunteer director ahengstcaptain@gmail.com or call Gerry 443-786-0059

The POOL is open. Come sparkle with us!

Many thanks to the YMCA for their diligence.
Some residents have commented that the pool "sparkles"
"We've never seen it look so good".

Kudos also goes to Joe R, for his continued dedication to a higher standard. Multiple improvements to the equipment have been made. The work included resurfacing of the pool, a new cover, and a storage shed.  All of these upgrades we sorely needed after 12 years of use.

This weekend will be perfect for a dip in the shallow end or a splash in the deep end.
Come to the pool to escape the 90-degree weather.

Pool wristbands can be obtained from Sentry.
Come to the pool to get more information.

Don't forget the July 4th Pool Party,
This event has always been a great time.

It's time to sparkle!
