Dear Group:
This coming Monday, November 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the
COUNTY BOARD meeting room (enter from the rear of the county building), our
City Commissioners will take up the first reading of the proposed charter with
some modifications that we developed based on public comment at the public
hearing in early October and one written detailed list of concerns filed by a
citizen.
I am attaching to this email the responses that we
developed to the concerns raised in the written response. I am also attaching
the final proposed version of the City Manager Charter 3-39 that shows what we
changed and did not change from the one previously
submitted.
The written response that had some detail appears to seek
to gut the original proposal. The attached response tries to explain the
reasoning behind each section and why it was written in the way that it
was.
I hope that these are helpful.
Having you at this meeting will be helpful to this effort.
Each time there is a meeting on the topic of the city manager it seems that
something new pops up, so having supporters there is always
helpful.
Thanks for your continued support.
