Notes from the December 12, 2015 DHMA Meeting

Here's the schedule of Meetings for 2016.
  • Please note that the June 17 meeting is the "Annual Meeting of Members". A member is an owner of a condo unit. At a "Meeting of Members" Owners may be called upon to vote on certain motions that require member votes. 

2016 MEETING SCHEDULE for the DHMA

  • February 13, 2016 at 10 A.M. Regular Meeting of Board Members
  • April 16, 2016 at 10 A.M. Regular Meeting of Board Members
  • June 17, 2016 at 7 P.M.  – Annual Meeting of Members
  • August 27, 2016 at 10 A.M. Regular Meeting of Board Members
  • October 8, 2016 at 10 A.M.  – Regular Meeting of Board Members

All owners are encouraged to attend each and every meeting.
The meeting schedule is subject to change.
Special Meetings of Members or Directors may be called as needed.

Sentry Management Report (abridged version.)
  1. Gates have been working properly with the exception of Trenton St. which fails intermittently. Please report any problems to Sentry. The gate vendor is trying to diagnose the problem,
  2. Cedar Street entrance lights have been repaired.
  3. Gate Access codes will be modified to curtail non-resident access. Each owner will receive a letter explaining a new pass code system.
  4. Fencing on Hayward St, has been ordered but, not yet installed. 
  5. Marshall’s has completed the fall clean-up for the community and has aerated and over-seeded the community.
  6. The YMCA is being considered to manage the DH Pool. Negotiations are continuing
Reported Issues
  1. Kids on skate boards returned and have been entering buildings again.  Owners are encouraged to contact the police. (700 Cattail Cove)
  2. Homeless man within the community.  The police have been notified and have advised that they are aware of this man and have offered assistance and he has refused.  Cambridge PD has advised that if seen in the community they should be contacted immediately so they may arrest him.  
  3.  Commercial Vehicles parking on property, Letters were sent to Owners of units and phone calls were also made.  As of now it seems that they have moved the vehicles off of the DH Property.
  4. Some vehicles are cruising through stop signs within DH. The corner near 500 Seaway appears to be a particular problem. 

Financial
  1. 2014 Financial Audit has not been approved to date. The Board has some remaining questions.
  2. Beazer still owes the DH Master Association $64,016. Our lawyer will be expediting this collectible.
  3. A budget letter will be mailed to all owners regarding an increase in the DHMA fees.
