Garage Insulation

Last week, Sentry, Beazer, and an insulation contractor conducted a site walk to develop an estimate for insulating the garage ceilings at 700 Cattail Cove and 900 Marshy Cove.  The original building specifications required insulation to be installed above the drop ceilings of the garages.  

The space above the drop ceiling is a heated space. Room temperature is maintained to protect the sprinkler system pipes and other systems within the space. By design, units on the first floor benefit from the warm space below, just as the upper units benefit by having heated spaces below their units. 

Both buildings should experience reduced gas bills for the common areas and perhaps some improved comfort on the first floor.

It appears that Beazer will be financing this project since it was part of the original building specification.  All things considered, quite honorable.
