Letters to the Editor: Pets and Pet Policy

Pets and the Proposed Pet Policy:

“I noticed the council is considering assessing residents a fee of $75 for pets in this "pet friendly" building. What benefits do the residents obtain from this fee or is it only a way to obtain more funding? If it is the latter, and I hope not, what are the condo fees for?”

Stay tuned. Details will follow. The proposed policy has been in committee for several months. The board will be voting and informing all residents of the proposed policy. Explanation of the fees and their use will be detailed in the policy. We will attempt to get some preliminary information to you.

More on pets:
What’s that smell on the 3rd floor?

One resident writes “There has been an odor emanating from in front our condo door. I suspect a pet has been allowed to run the hallway and it decided to relieve itself in front of the door. We have taken care of the odor, now it someone's turn to collar their pet, if this is the case.”

Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! I agree. I've heard from some residents that the first floor has had a problem like this in the past.

Is there anyone else that would like to comment on these issues?
We are ready and willing to post your opinion, observations, and comments.
