Deep Harbour Marina Boat Slips

If you own a boat slip in the Deep Harbour Marina and would like to rent or sell it, send an email to mc900@Comcast.net . 

We may be able to find some boat owners that would be interested. 

FYI,  To keep a boat in the Marina, the boat owner must be a tenant or owner of a condo unit.

Freeze, Froze, Frozen

BIG LOU cuts a slot.

BIG LOU was working today.  The ice has thickened in the past few days 2 inches.  More than in recent years past.  Some watermen are still working the river despite the chill factor.  No Refrigeration required.

Weather or NOT? Snow on its way.

Here's the forecast.  To accommodate snow plowing, the gates will be locked open.  This should also minimize the effects of forecasted high winds on the gate mechanisms.

Tuesday: Snow along with gusty winds at times. High 32F. Winds NNE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 2 to 4 inches.

Tuesday night: Windy. Snow in the evening will diminish to a few snow showers overnight. Low 13F. Winds NNW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 80%. About one inch of snow expected. send your comments to mc900@comcast.net

Sad News

Today, one of our residents, Milford F, has passed.  Milford is survived by his wife, Patsy, three children, and their families.  A long time resident of Cambridge, he was know for his warm nature and devotion to his family.  We will miss his friendly presence.

Services will held on Saturday. Consult local newspapers.

3rd Annual Rockfish Fishing Trip, Friday, May 9, 2014

Last year we had a great catch and great memories. This year will be the Third Annual Marshy Cove Fishing trip. A chance to bring home the big one and enjoy the company of a motley ensemble.

The tentative date is Friday, May 9, 2014. Leaving from Kent Island on Excalibur, Captain Perry will lead us to the fishing hole to catch our limit.  Last year, three Rockfish measured over 36 inches.  Big brother, Bubba, is still out there waiting for us.

Fisherman: 6-12 people. All are welcome. Bring a friend.
Cost: about $110 per person. Bring your own lunch.
Time: leave dock at 7:30 AM return after limit is caught.(3-6 hours.)

Marina Board Meeting, January 11, 2014

Immediately following the Master Association Meeting, the new Marina Board of Directors had its meeting.

• At this time 28 (50%) of the 56 boat slips are owned by condo owners. 28 are still owned by Beazer.  All of the slips on the south side are privately owned. (Slips 43-56.) The remainder of the owned slips are on the north side bulkhead and the south side of the central pier.
• The current dues has been established at $88 per month. Previously collected annually at $1000 per annum.
• Note that you must be a condo owner to own a boat slip. You must also be a condo owner to rent a boat slip.
• Three slip owners are seriously delinquent in their back dues.  Actions to collect back dues are in progress.
• Issues regarding maintenance, transition, reserves, and liabilities were discussed.

If you own a slip in the Deep Harbour Marina, this year will be pivotal in determining future policy and finances. You are encouraged to participate in all meetings.
