Avoid future water damage

Mid Shore Plumbing has provided me with some pictures of expansion tanks they removed recently. You will see from the photos that these tanks could have burst at anytime. This is even more of a reason for each and every owner to replace theirs. It was also recommended that these tanks be replaced every four years at as a precautionary measure. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE NEW MANAGEMENT COMPANY AND BEAZER'S SUPPORT OF OUR COMMUNITY. THE EXIT GATE ALONG CEDAR STREET HAS NOT WORKED FOR AT LEAST 6 WEEKS. THERE ARE 12 LIGHTS AT THE ENTRANCE AT CEDAR STREET. NOT ONE OF THE LIGHTS ARE WORKING. THE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS AROUND OUR CONDO BUILDING AND THE TOWNHOUSES ARE NOT TURNED ON. Proxies to elect new board members are due before July 28 meeting.
At the last board meeting, only one proxy was received.
Including the meeting attendees, a quorum was not present.
Two open seats on the board remain unfilled as a result.
These positions must be filled in order for the Board of Directors to conduct business.
There is a possibility that a proxy ballot box will be available in the lobby fro your convenience.

Over the Easter weekend someone parked their dog on the front side walk AND IT DROPPED TWO (2) VERY LARGE POOPS THAT WERE LEFT THERE..... CAN YOU PUT A BULLETIN IN THE ELEVATORS LIKE THE RECENT FLYER ???..... LOTS OF NEW PEOPLE IN OVER THE Last month....... MORE AND MORE RENTERS....... ARE THEY REGISTERING THESE DOGS ????.....
LAST NIGHT, LATE WHEN NOBODY IS AROUND, I SAW THE GUY WITH THE 2 LARGE WHITE SHEEP DOGS (WHO NEVER CARRIES DOGGIE BAGS OR SCOOPERS) WALKING THOSE DOGS ON THE WATERFRONT WALK!!!!

ON A DIFFERENT SUBJECT, SOMEONE FROM ABOVE, THREW A LARGE CIGAR OVER THEIR RAILING AND IT LANDED ON MY BALCONY....... A BIG FIRE HAZARD TO SAY THE LEAST.........

Scoop the Poop, Please!
Certainly, as new residents move in to the new townhouses, this problem will accelerate.
Letter to the Editor:
"Not sure what we can do about this, but the amount of dog piles around the condo seems to be on the rise. And, these droppings appear to be from a very large dog. I don't think any of the dogs in our building are large enough to be responsible (our dog is 60 lbs and she's not capable of producing poop of the size we're seeing everywhere). So, I can only speculate that the dog(s) and owner(s) not picking up after their dog(s) are from the townhouses or Cattail Cv. Do we have a contact in their homeowner associations who could remind them that they need to pick up after their dog(s)?"

Cambridge Creek: Tornado Warning!
A Weather Service tornado warning, which sent school children home early, resulted in some unusual wind damage in Cambridge.
Residents reported greenish skies and freight train noises synonymous with tornadoes and hurricanes. It appears that a tornado never developed, but, perhaps a micro-burst. Whatever the meteorological description, the good news is that we were not in Kansas.
At the time of the tornado warning, I was heading south on Route 50. Just south of Trappe, traffic stopped. My GPS indicated that I was 3.5 miles away from the Malkus Bridge. This was just around 5:10 PM. The north bound lanes were empty. The south bound lanes were jammed-jammed-jammed. It was a 3.5 mile Congo line of red tail lights. Occasionally, movement of one car length would provide a feeling of hope.
After checking my map for an alternate route, the radio traffic advisory reported that a Box truck
had been flipped by the wind at the foot of the Malkus (Choptank) Bridge. The northbound lane was blocked. The bridge was closed to traffic while the vehicle was removed. They also reported a downed tree on Route 331 blocking the only detour path over the Choptank. Waiting seemed to be the best option. After an hour, things were back to normal.
On Cambridge Creek, we had our own excitement. Some shingles and pieces of siding were lost on one of the new townhouses. Some wind damage was evident on the Cattail Cove Condo Building. see photo.

The most dramatic incident was the three sailboats that were knocked over at Generation 3 Marina.
"ONWARD", "Odyssey", and an unknown sailboat fell of their jacks. It appears that the domino effect was in play here. "ONWARD " suffered the most damage with a broken mast. Let's hope that they all have good insurance coverage. "Odyssey" is owned by one of our residents.

Other reports included intermittent power failures. Someone was apparently trapped in the elevator during one of these outages. Resumption of power ended the entrapment.
