The parking lot retrofit project on the 400 block of Race Street is now underway! Unity Landscape and Design is undertaking the parking lot retro fit project which will help control stormwater run off and help build streetscape connectivity along the 400 block of Race Street. This site was once the site of a historic building. Remnants of the original foundation were even unearthed.
The project will beautify the lot, adding a safe pedestrian sidewalk access to the rear city of Cambridge parking lot , adds pervious pavers, a bio landscaped strip protecting the pedestrian walkway. The lot is privately owned by NOVO Properties and is the site of four electric vehicle charging stations installed in 2018 as a Green Team initiative.
